The patterns on this stone are not painted, carved, or treated. They were made by the earth.

Product Highlights:

  • The Stone: Roughly 14 million years of history are visible on every bead. Landscape Jasper formed when volcanic ash and silica-rich sediment settled and slowly hardened over millions of years. The result is patterns inside the stone that resemble deserts, mountains, and ancient terrain. Each faceted cube is cut from a different section, so no two beads show the same scene. Set with a vermeil gold logo cube at the center.
  • History: Jasper is one of the most documented stones in human history. It is named in the Book of Exodus as one of the twelve stones on the Breastplate of Aaron, the High Priest of the Israelites, and again in the Book of Revelation as the first foundation stone of the heavenly city. The Greeks used it for carved seals. In a Mesopotamian creation legend, the god Marduk formed a lower heaven from jasper and drew the constellations on it. In medieval Europe, jasper was known as "the rain bringer" and was used by weather masters who were summoned in secret to save harvests from drought.
  • The Belief: In modern crystal practice, jasper is a root chakra stone, associated with grounding, stability, and a connection to the earth. Landscape jasper in particular is considered one of the strongest grounding stones, believed to reconnect the wearer with nature. Men have been carrying this stone for protection and purpose for thousands of years.
  • Vermeil Gold: The gold elements are crafted from heavy vermeil. This is a solid sterling silver base coated in 3.5 microns of pure 24kt gold, making it about seven times thicker than standard gold plating. Because we use pure 24kt gold over silver instead of a thin layer over brass, the color is richer and highly durable. If it wears over time, it reveals solid silver beneath, developing character rather than looking cheap. Vermeil has been the standard for premium jewelry since 18th century France.

Our pieces are made with natural gemstones; slight variations in color, size, and pattern may occur.
