The gold bead is made entirely by hand by traditional Balinese goldsmiths using techniques passed down through generations. It is not cast or plated. It is solid 18kt gold shaped and set onto deliberately darkened silver, creating a contrast between precious metal and aged patina that mirrors the stone itself.
• History: Bronzite's original name, enstatite, comes from the Greek word for adversary. This was a reference to its resistance to heat and melting. The name bronzite was adopted in 1806 for the stone's resemblance to bronze. The Romans used powdered bronzite as a protective talisman, believing it could ward off confusion and mental illness. They also attributed magical and prophetic properties to it. In medieval times, bronzite was worn to strengthen the nerves and was commonly set into amulets for daily protection. Beyond its history on earth, bronzite has been found in meteorites. This makes it one of the few stones that exists both beneath your feet and in space.
• The Belief: In modern crystal practice, bronzite is a solar plexus chakra stone. It is said to strengthen grounding, decisiveness, and composure under pressure.
